So I got my grades for the last quarter of classes, yes that includes my art class, and I just gotta say…I must be an art genius. Ok maybe not, but I did do a lot better in that class than I thought I would. I ended up getting a B in it so I was actually quite ecstatic to say the least. I mean as most of you know I am typically a very pessimistic person about, well…everything and so I was expecting a D or a low C at the most. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited about a B before in my life. I was kind of sad though because I really want to do well at this school and that B dropped my GPA to a 3.6 which is just downright unacceptable. Haha. I honestly want to try and keep it above the 3.5 which means I have to step things up a notch. The only problem with that is the fact that I now have another art-type class for the next 10 weeks. I am not going to have to really draw anymore, but I apparently need to understand art and know what paintings mean. I’ll tell you though; I have no idea what some of these artists were thinking when they painted. Most of the paintings look like finger paintings I did when I was a kid…too bad, if I would have known that that was “Art” I might be a millionaire right now, but oh well. So I am not really looking forward to that class at all. On the other hand my other class is “Audio for Gaming” which is going to be freaking awesome, once we all get our laptops that is, but I still think it is going to rock.
On the other side of things my roommate who I was sharing a room with that hasn’t been back in a few weeks turned up dead the other day. Haha, just kidding, how weird would that have been. He did get kicked out of the apartment though, apparently he wasn’t paying his rent so he owed like 950 dollars. So the rental company just came by and took all of his shit so the next time he comes by…all of his stuff is going to be gone. I can’t wait to see the look on his face when that happens, that will be a great day. Now I am scared who is going to take his place though. Maybe I got the bad one out of the way and I’ll get lucky and for some odd reason they’ll place an interior design girl in my room. If only…If only.

My Disappointment
So, we were supposed to get our laptops on Monday since we are starting our audio class the same day. But apparently “Dell” screwed up and now we have no laptops at all. Now you might be thinking no big deal, well the audio class deals almost completely with our laptops. So now that we have that class yet no laptops we aren’t even doing anything which really sucks cause I was really looking forward to this class. Now we’re going to be forced to do 5 weeks worth of work in like 2 weeks which is gonna be hard as hell. It is kind of funny though since a bunch of the kids are mad as hell, so I bring the laptop that I already had with me every day to class now just piss them off more. The laptop that I have now is about to die though I think…it’s been acting crazy weird lately, but oh well, soon I’ll have a nice shiny new one.
In other news me and some friends went to a cast party for “Americas next top model” hosted by the school. First thoughts….Hellz yes, we get to hang out and party with the people from the show. Now the reason that we believed this was possible is because the school actually hosted the auditions for the show a month or two ago. So we were excited, mainly because we figured we had a chance of being seen on television with models…who wouldn’t be excited about that. Well let’s just say that we were less than appeased when we got there. Not only were there no models, but also no television crews either. Apparently this party was to just sit around and watch the show for an hour while eating chips and drinking punch. They did have a little fashion show during the commercials with some models from around Arizona. You know, I never realized exactly how skinny models generally are. One of them walked by a fan and she seriously fell over, no joke. She literally was blown over by a small fan…and it was awesome. I even think she floated a little bit before hitting the ground…like a leaf in the wind. Another turned to the side at one point and I couldn’t see her anymore, it was like she vanished. Awesome…yes. Impressive…yes. Disgusting…Very much so. Anyway just thought I would share that experience with everyone.
You know what I just realized…I will be the last grandkid to graduate from college, with the exception of Shaun, but hes in the Navy so he doesn’t count. Hell he’ll still find a way to graduate before me though I know it. And Lindsey will be finished about 7 months before me if she keeps going the way shes going. I hate you guys. Just kidding…see ya at Christmas.

My Caution
So I tried and tried to get out of Athens. Constantly saying that it was just too small of a city to find anything interesting to do, well I may have been wrong. Not about Athens not having much to do, but what it was that I liked to do. It seems now that I am in a bigger city that I am just not cut out for it. I have been faced with some unusual situations that never would have happened in Athens. Maybe I am just not a big city person, or maybe I have just fallen in with the wrong type of people. Me and some friends were hanging out tonight and put of nowhere one of them decided it would be awesome to go to a strip club.......ok, whatever I figured I would tag along. But then they came up with, what they thought, was an even better idea. Since apparently there was a pretty hefty fee just to get into the strip club, they decided that we were all gonna just pick up some prostitutes......umm...what!!! It was just weird how they saw it as no big deal, but to me it was completely crazy. I told them I wasn't going to do that and of course they proceeded to call me the name that everyone knows a guy is called when he refuses to take a risk. For those of you who don't know, it rhymes with wussy. No you all may be wondering why on earth I am writing about this, well, I have a question I need to ask everyone. Is it me that is the strange one, or is it them. Since it seemed like no big deal to them it just makes me feel like the oddball. Like the one who after 22 years still refuses to take any kind of risk. In this particular situation I trust in my decision to not do it, but its not just this situation. I'm talking about taking a risk anytime. Those of you who know me well know that I am generally a very cautious person and I am afraid that being who I am is preventing me from truly enjoying life. I know this isn't one of my usual posts, but I really need some help on this one.

My Surprise
Ok, so I know I haven’t posted in a little while. I’ve been busy trying to finish all the art shit that I need to get done so I don’t fail. I swear, out of all the classes I have to take at this school, Art is my least favorite. I would rather already be taking my advanced calculus class instead of this art class. It’s over next week though so I can finally rest again when that day comes. I have improved a little bit in my drawing…don’t get me wrong I am still down right bad at it, but believe it or not that is an improvement for me. Most everything else down here is the same as it has been for a while. I still haven’t been able to find a freakin job which is still pissing me off, but oh well; I’ll find something…sooner or later. Oh, on a side note, remember that crazy girl that I told you all about and the Dance Dance revolution machine she was stumbling around on at Gameworks. Well I found out that they have since moved that game out of the restaurant part and put it down with all of the other games. Now I don’t know if it was because of her, but I’m pretty sure it is. I still see her from time to time in the halls at school. I love messing with her too cause she definitely remembers me and I think she remembers what happened that night as well. So every time I pass her in the hall or anything I stop and ask her if she has ever been to Gameworks before and then I just smile and walk away. I’m not exactly sure why it is so satisfying, but it really is. Another thing…I am coming home for Christmas, at least I plan to, and when I come home, hopefully I will have a surprise for everybody. And no it’s not a present or anything so you will just have to wait and see. I’m still not even sure if it will happen so there may be no surprise at all. If there isn’t…I’ll just buy everyone some pizza or something and that can be the new surprise.
